New school year family orientations are scheduled for Monday, August 2nd & Wednesday, August 3rd at 5:00 PM for all families - grades kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

Ascend scholars receive a summer packet and reading book to be completed prior to the first day of school.  Summer packet pick-up is scheduled from Fri. June 11 - Thurs. June 17.

Medical Forms

A 504 Form must be completed by your doctor and submitted to the nurse if your scholar needs to be administered medication during the school day.

Transportation

​Brooklyn Ascend Lower School does not  provide yellow school bus service. If your scholar's IEP indicated yellow bus service your child will receive Special Education bussing. 

However, we do provide Metrocards for scholars who are eligible. Eligibility is based on distance to the school and grade.

Academics

Ascend Public Charter Schools curriculum includes math, science, social studies, and English language arts.

In addition, every Ascend scholar participate in 3 - 4 specials classes which may include Dance, Physical Education, Art and Science.

Our Student Service Coordinator will plan your scholar's mandated services based on your scholar’s Individual Education plan (IEP).
